WOO! Everyone go see this. Now.

YPC alumnus Seth Numrich is in this! I have met him at more than one holiday party, and now he’s the lead in a giant Broadway show!

The wisdom that came in my fortune cookie when we went out for Chinese after the last show of Mean.
(It says “Explore an unpaved road with a new friend,” in case you have some kind of disorder that keeps you from reading backward.)

Music rehearsal for Mean. I’m so glad I have Kahlil around to make my play seem better.

SO EXCITED TO SEE/HEAR THIS ON THE STAGE.

I was wary when I heard that YAC wanted to do a Twilight parody for the Fringe. But if the show turns out to be half as fantastic as this poster, then my doubts were completely uncalled for.

Hey guys!

I’m writing a theater piece for YPC about bullying and ways that kids and teenagers can be cruel to each other. (Fun, right?) I’m looking to base most if not all of the show on people’s real stories. If you you or someone you know have a story on the subject – either about being bullied as a kid, or about mean behavior you witnessed or engaged in yourself – that you would be willing to share with me, I would really appreciate it. You can email me at meanypc@gmail.com (or contact me some other way, since most of the people reading this know me in real life). I may also ask to do a face-to-face interview if I think I can use your story. Questions you may want to think about:

What’s the meanest thing you’ve ever done?

What’s the meanest thing anyone’s ever done to you?

Why do you think kids pick on each other?

Why do you think certain kids get picked on more than others?

Thanks for your help!
